Rolf & Jamie take on Laramie!

Hi all! I recently traveled to Denver, CO for a developmental psychology conference. Uncle Rolf had an extra ticket for Elton John, so I stayed with him in Laramie for a night and saw the concert with him. Funny story ensues: I ran off the road (black ice-I'm not used to it considering the bulk of my driving experiences are in the south), then a cop pulled over to make sure we were OK when another car fish-tailed and hit the cop car, which then hit me in my rental car! Haha, funny, right? Rolf told me the Laramie cops are still looking for me. lol.

P.S. I want to see pics of baby MASON BAXTER!!! :)

Caribbean Cruise, 2009

Hi, all! I haven't been on this site for awhile, so its time to start posting again.

Bob and I went on a cruise in March with 12 other couples from Montana, and had a blast. Attached are a few of the pictures.

Bax-baby is due on April 5th, but it could be any day now. I'll keep everyone posted.

More later....

Love,
Dee

Baby on the Way

Got this email from Zoe. Wanted to pass on the cute pictures!

Thought we'd send out a few pics of Ry and I...and my gigantic belly. We've been working on the baby room the last few days. Ryan built me a couple shelves to put in the room and we've picked up a few of the things we still needed. We're getting close. One month till due date (April 4). We know it's a boy but still don't have a name picked out yet. Our "short list" consists of about 20 names so we have a few options and most likely will make the decision at the hospital sometime.

One of the pictures is from Thanksgiving. Ryan has paint on his hand from working on our basement...which he finished just in time for our Superbowl party.

The other picture is from our recent trip to the Oregon Coast for my mom's birthday.

We've also attached 2 of the 3D pictures from the ultrasound in December. The first (3d profile22) shows his profile to the right of the picture with his hands and arms up near his face. The 2nd (3d profile23) he kind of looks like he's sucking his thumbs and you can see his chubby cheeks.

We'll keep you all updated.

Zoe & Ryan

P.S. I've tried to include as many of the Petersons as I have emails for so feel free to pass on if you'd like.

Hey everyone!

It's Katrina and I'm finally posting my very first blog!! Things have been pretty hectic here for a while, but it seems we've finally closed our last 2008 hurricane claim here in Houston, TX. Now we're anxiously waiting for hail season to begin. It seems the recession has also effected Brett's pipeline career as a lot of the upcoming line installations throughout the country have been put to a halt (not including Union work, which is next to impossible to join right now) so, we plan to continue working as insurance adjusters, at least until Brett can find work as an operator on the pipeline again. Thank goodness the insurance adjusting field seems to be recession proof and I get to work from home.
Other news as most of you know, is that we are expecting again!! I am a few days shy of being 20 weeks along, which is already 1/2 way through the pregnancy - wow, that went by too fast!! The due date is July 23 and we'll be delivering again with our midwife in Dallas. Also, we are waiting this time to find out what we will have. However, we have decided on names; Madylen Marie for a girl and Wyatt Douglas for a boy.
In a month and a half, Westen will be 2 1/2 yrs old already!! He is growing like a weed! His favorite things lately are playing the guitar with his Daddy and pretending he is Superman (as in the pic below) or Spiderman. He jumps and swings off EVERYTHING, shooting his pretend web and singing the superhero theme songs!! He is really talking well in complete sentences now, which makes it much easier to decipher what he wants and needs! He is very polite, caring and sweet. He's got a huge heart to go along with his huge personality, which makes him such a joy to be around. There's never a dull moment with Westen in the room, that's for sure! He's also very excited to be a big brother. He hugs, kisses and talks to the baby belly all the time. He even tries to share his food and drinks with the baby. Most of the time he says the baby will be a girl or that he'll have a sister, so we'll all have to wait and see if he's right!
Although I have not posted until now, I have been checking in and reading all the posts. It is nice to hear what everyone is up too and see all the pics! Congrats to Zoe & Ryan!! I can't wait to see pics of your little prince when he arrives! Tori, you have a beautiful family and Kodi is sure growing up fast! Thanks for posting all the pics, it's a joy to see how she grows! We hope everyone is doing well and I look forward to seeing future posts and pics from you all!
