Thanks, Mandi and Jamie, for setting up the blog. I think Lori tried something like this in the past, but not many of us were very "blog savvy" at that time.

Thanks to everyone for a great after-Christmas family reunion! Its hard to replicate such a grand time, but lets try to get together at least once a year now.

After our frustrating attempt to get down to Vegas (canceled flight, drive to Bozeman, lost bags, etc.), we had a matching return trip. Our flight home, scheduled for Jan.1 at noon was also canceled. Delta gave us hotel, taxi and food vouchers, and we scheduled to return the following day to fly home.

The Russian taxi driver that we got didn't know where the "Hyatt" was in Las Vegas, so he called the dispatcher, who found one in Lake Las Vegas, which is in Henderson.
After a $92 cab fare and lots of driving miles, we finally arrived at the Hyatt, whcih was only 2 miles from the airport! Delta gets a nice little cab fare to deal with, and we got a free ride to see the exclusive homes in Lake Las Vegas.

We were finally in the air by 6:30 a.m. on Jan. 2nd and arrived in Bozeman by 11 a.m. However, our luggage didn't make it! It finally all arrived on the nex inbound flight and we headed home to Laurel.

What are the chances of a trip with two canceled flights, two incidences of lost baggage, and adding a trip out of town just to catch a flight??

I hope everyone else got home just fine. Take care, and have a Great New Year!

Love,
Dee and Bob

Thanks Jamie & Mandy for creating a cool way for everyone to keep in touch.

Dee & Bob,

Bret and I are not sure how luck could be so bad for both flights and such to and from Vegas. If we could have helped in way, we would have.

It was awesome getting to meet the entire Peterson clan and we can't wait to see ya'll the next time.

Love,
Bret & Dana
